Business Clinical Lead

Gemma joined JSP in October 2019 as a Case Manager and has progressed through a number of senior leadership roles within the organisation. She was appointed as Regional Manager in 2022 for the North East, overseeing the region until March 2024 when she became Business Clinical Lead.  Most recently, Gemma has taken up the position of Brand Director, where she plays a key role in shaping and advancing the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Gemma brings extensive experience in case management, having managed both pre‑ and post‑trial caseloads involving children and adults with acquired brain injury and complex disabilities. She has significant expertise in undertaking comprehensive needs assessments and in the coordination, monitoring, and supervision of bespoke support and rehabilitation packages. Her professional experience includes work within the Court of Protection arena, preparation of witness statements, and attendance at court to support clients with legal proceedings.

Gemma began her career in 2002 with Momentum Skills, shortly after joining as Contracts Administrator Gemma moved into the strategic role of Regional Manager. During her tenure from 2006 to 2019, she was responsible for all aspects of operational delivery, strategic planning and business management.

Throughout her career, Gemma has demonstrated a strong commitment to service development. She has led the design and implementation of community‑based services following extensive research into gaps in rehabilitative provision within statutory services. Working closely with statutory agencies and legal professionals, Gemma has managed complex acquired brain injury cases, including transitional cases, delivering in‑depth assessments, goal setting, and outcome reviews to evidence client progression.

In addition to her professional experience, Gemma has lived experience of child acquired brain injury, autism spectrum disorder, and epilepsy through close family, which further informs her compassionate and advocacy driven approach.
