| Amanda is a very experienced and confident occupational therapy practitioner in the field of equipment and adaptations with over 20 years’ experience. Her combined experience of the medico-legal field and statutory services ensures her clients receive an excellent service. Her role is to provide specialist advice regarding housing solutions whether for adapting an existing property or identifying long/short term accessible accommodation. She also provides clinical assessments of clients’ needs for specialist and portable equipment for personal care, mobility, household tasks, education, work, leisure, and community activities. Amanda has worked both for the NHS and local authorities. She has worked in a variety of different specialisms gaining extensive experience working with adults and children with a wide range of highly complex disabilities.
Amanda is skilled in assessing her client’s needs and the impact these have on the individual’s ability to carry out activities of daily living. She values working alongside family members and carers and is adept in identifying how best to support the client with their changing needs. |
